ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Navy women's lacrosse players Erin Rawlick and Meg Decker were named to the 2008 Patriot League Women's Lacrosse All-Tournament Team, the league office announced on Monday. The Mids' season ended with a 13-4 overall record after falling in the tournament semifinals to top-seeded American. 17-15. Navy's 13 wins were the most for a first-year program in NCAA history.

Decker, a freshman midfielder from Catonsville, Md., was named to the team after tying the Patriot League Tournament record with six goals, matching the effort of American's Moriah Linnell against Bucknell in the 2004 semifinals. Decker scored five of her goals in the first half and also contributed with three draw controls and one caused turnover. She will enter next year as having netted a hat trick in 14 straight games and finished the year with 76 points (63 g, 13 a), the 10th-most points in a single season in Patriot League history. Her 63 goals are ninth on the Patriot League single-season annals. Decker was second on the team with 58 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers and was fourth with 28 ground balls.

Rawlick, a sophomore midfielder from Forest Hill, Md., was named to the All-Tournament squad after scoring four points (3 g, 1 a) with three draw controls and three ground balls. Rawlick scored two of her goals in the second half to help Navy jump out to a 15-10 advantage, before American rallied in the last nine minutes. She led the league with 91 points, including a nation's-best 67 goals. The 91 points are the third-most points for a player in Patriot League history, while the 67 goals are the fifth most in a season. She had 14 hat tricks on the season, and scored 15 goals in her last three games. Rawlick, who was among the nation's leaders in several offensive categories, led the team with 59 draw controls and was sixth with 27 ground balls.

The duo were first-team All-Patriot League honorees announced last week.
