Navy Remains 26th at NCAA Men's Golf West Regional
The Navy golf team shaved three strokes off its score in the second round of the 2008 NCAA Men's Golf West Regional Friday afternoon at the Gold Mountain Country Club in Bremerton, Wash., where the Mids remain in 26th place with the final round to be played on Saturday. The Midshipmen turned in a 21-over par 309 in Friday's second round, pushing its lead over Columbia by 20 strokes. Meanwhile, the Mids trail 24th-place San Diego State by three strokes.

Navy Stands 26th at NCAA Men's Golf West Regional
2008 NCAA West Regional - Rd 1 Results
Led by junior David Miller's 4-over par 76, Navy finished the opening round of the 2008 NCAA Men's Golf West Regional with a 24-over par 312 and is in 26th place out of 27 teams. The Mids are two strokes ahead of Ivy League qualifier Columbia (+26, 314), while they trail 25th-place Denver by three strokes (+21, 309).

Mids Open Play at NCAA Men's Golf West Regional on Thursday
On Wednesday afternoon, the Navy golf team will get its first look at the Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash., the host site of the 2008 NCAA Div. I Men's Golf West Regional set to begin on Thursday morning. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will begin each day at 7:00 am PT / 10:00 am ET. The Mids will tee off on Wednesday at 7:47 am PT / 10:47 am ET alongside Columbia and Denver.
