         <description><![CDATA[Last Saturday, the Navy Offshore Sailing Team had six boats competing in the NASS Spring Race, the season-opening regatta open to all area civilian sailors. Kellen Browne led his 14-man crew to a resounding victory in the big boat PHRF A0 class beating the second-place boat by nearly 15 minutes in incredibly erratic conditions. Browne's crew included XO Nick Skaperdas, Josh McMinn, Eric Eastman, Chris Nicolet, Josh Hinshaw, Matt Libby, Rachel Lessard, John Bamonte, Ted Dempsey, Will Nutting and Patrick Wiedorn.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The Navy offshore sailing team sent a crew to Los Angeles to compete in the inaugural Harbor Cup hosted by California Maritime Academy, Los Angeles Yacht Club and the Port of Los Angeles. A total of eight heats were sailed over the two-day weekend event. When the dust settled, Navy finished third, losing a tiebreaker for second place with USC and only was just one point out of first, behind the Maine Maritime Academy.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Team captain Matt Recker led his crew to victory this weekend in the2007 McMillan Cup Intercollegiate Big Boat East Coast Championship. Eight teams competed aboard the USNA 44-foot sloops on the Chesapeake Bay this past Saturday and Sunday. A total of six heats were run with Navy winning three of them. Maine Maritime Academy was second followed by St. Mary's College (Md.). Recker's crew included Cullen Shaughnessy, Will Arnest, Mark Picinich, Owen Brooks, Alex Fletcher, Ken Endicott and Wes Jahrus.]]></description>
